Won't this simply exasperate the situation? People would realize they are being censored on social media and that would convince more that there's something to it and they'd pull their money out.

There is a coordinated an attempt to blame the bank run on Twitter. "If only people didn't learn about the bank being insolvent fast enough, this wouldn't have happened!"
