Brand has been gaining quite an audience in recent years since addressing real concerns on his podcast. He had something of a controversial history on UK television after reaching fame hosting Big Brother, going on to become a drug and sex addict. He had a weird left wing phase calling for revolution but seems to have a more grounded approach to topics these days. You can tell on his podcasts that he treads on eggshells due to YouTube policy on speech and narratives, and I'm never truly sure if he actually aligns himself with the side he portrays in his dialogue...But the man is doing well and is asking relevant questions. Brand's podcast is definitely worth the watch.

He refuses to talk about the meat of most issues with excuses like "I don't want to argue". But really just uses that excuse to shut down conversation. He often uses leftist pseudo intellectual tropes like "I just want to live in a world that is kind" to justify illogical and often toxic progressive agendas. Then when challenged with an explanation of how the agenda is bad he shuts down the conversation with "let's not argue".

I appreciate that he goes further right than most leftists, but he is still very much a leftist. His mentality is feelings over facts.

Bingo. You said what I was going to say, much more eloquently as well.

He's a socialist I think

The real left (not the fake left in America) tend to be the most truth-based group out there, although there are still obvious feds among their group trying to promote stupidity.

Yes, I think you are correct. He has also found god since recovering from excessive drug use, I personally never found god since going sober, but each have their own ways of comprehending their journey through life.
