My personal take; I'll call her Elliot because she legally changed her name. But until she can operate a Y chromosome into her genome, the objective truth is that she is a female.

Is Elliot a unisex name? There’s a female character on Scrubs called Elliot.

I don't care. To be honest, I often forget her new name. But I found a good way to remember: Ellen + idiot = Elliot. You're welcome.
