Saidit is not honest, a lot of people responded to previous posts of mine denying the holocaust took place.

What's especially dishonest is the tendency of many Saiditors merely to parrot far-right-wing talking points heard on Fox 'News' or at disinformation distributors noted at /s/shitpostnews, rather than think for themselves about the actual consequences of not trusting scientific research, or genuinely believing that non-whites should somehow be removed from the US, or the lie that smaller government and unregulated corporations will help the 99%, or relying on the other far-right disinformation that's pushed by the .01% . Many Saiditors would themselves be victims of those consequences and should be much more honest with themselves about the propaganda they swallow.

If you show me news that's not propaganda, I'll swallow my hat

You can't because it doesn't exist. Take a deep breathe and realize you are your own and only expert.

Oops - that was quick! Sorry I deleted the post before noticing you had replied. As I noted, though I don't want you to eat your hat, here is a handy guide to media bias:

Who controls AP/Reuters? Your pyramid is incomplete. Simply look into their reporting on Syria, and you will find insane bias at AP/Reuters as well.

I agree - they too are indeed biased. 4 issues:

    1) Part of their bias is what they leave out of their reporting (eg. problems with M.E. geopolitics and the roles of the US, Israel, Turkey, Russia &c in Syria and other conflicts)

    2) Media bias check does not check on the lack of speculation of news media, but on the role of speculation and bias, of which AP and Reuters are least guilty

    3) AP and Reuters do not focus on interpretation or a specific agenda (at least not as much as other news agencies do)

    4) Propaganda is specifically about "promoting a political cause or point of view," which AP and Reuters are the least obvious about, if they do at all, and the majority of their reports are not obviously biased (even if they do seem favor some countries over others, which they don't do explicitly)

what they leave out of their reporting

    yes! it's very subtle sometimes

    3) AP and Reuters do not focus on interpretation or a specific agenda

Nope, this is disproved by your own point 1. But I do agree they are the most neutral compared to what is on your infographic. I find the infographic to be accurate for it's MSM scope.

So I think you agree with me that there's no objective news and that it's all filtered through someone's propaganda lens. Whew, no hat eating tonight.

do you always delete your posts after like 5 minutes

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

That was after a minute or two, and I apologized. Stop bullying, Popper.

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

not bullying just asked a question

rather than think for themselves about the actual consequences of not trusting scientific research

True, well, that's "their truth". If something confirms their bias they take it as fact and promote it. If someone mentions fact based, researched information that goes against what they're saying they will just ignore it. If you're lucky they will provide a disinformed counterpoint.

    Shalom
