I don't know if you should relax the rules. Keeping a "reputable" sub with "authoritative" sources is a really good idea. However, keeping track of all the subs rules might get tricky, plus it's ultimately up to the reader to determine what is true or not, regardless of the police, media, corporations, and governments. Obviously I have mixed feelings on it. Perhaps /u/Drewski and others can chime in and/or we could pitch it to /s/AskSaidIt or /s/SaidItSurveys. Maybe there are other topics that might need "authoritative" sources only too.

    My advice would be to modify the sidebar like so:

    # Only widely reputable sources, please.

    I rarely actually post from within any subs, but I will delete errors and repost properly if I notice rules or requests.
