No fucking way. Half of the US is MUCH worse and the other half is just worse. Generally. Some things are better.

I say the Second Amendment alone makes the US better than Canada. But we do need to work a lot harder to entice Canadians to join.

There are (or were) more guns per capita in Canada, despite our gun nonsense.

You can entice us by being better, not just saying you're better. And if that day every comes, better left unsaid.

I don't think that's the case no more, especially after all the anti-gun laws yall've passed. The US is number one per capita, I believe.

Yes... I know quite well that my country sucks — but we can make it great if we muster up the political willpower.

if we muster up the political willpower.

Nonsense. Politics/power is the greatest problem on Earth and always will be. We need counter-government resistance.

I'd rather just vote out the cronies, if possible.

That would be good. The next/parallel step should be growing a minarchist movement. ALL efforts for smaller government are efforts for improvement. Anarchism is the goal, even if it's never reached.

Dude. If a third country sprouted up around the Great Lakes with true defenders of liberty from both countries, shit would get interesting. We should team up against our governments. They sure as hell work together, why can't we?

Many good users here are from the States.

I'd be down with that. Control the Great Lakes and the largest fresh water on the planet (not counting ice).

The busiest border in the world? Windsor/Detroit. More goods across here than any other border.

Problem: Detroit, Chicago, etc - all corrupt. Canadian government and industry: corrupt but politer.

/u/Earendil and /u/Vigte are you Canadian? Want to co-mod /s/Canada?

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I am not Canadian. I barely consider myself an American.

I'd take you up on all of your mod offerings if I had time, Jason. I should send you a PM with a respectful refusal. I like this website a lot, but I like my personal projects a lot more. I'm in the midst of building my own RV, and I'm trying to understand computers a bit better.

Maybe in a few months, or on another forum. I won't disappear completely. I have been coming around a lot less though.

You need not accept nor refuse, nor even be respectful though I do appreciate it. Just sit on them. Join any time.

Personally, I don't like to moderate people. I don't see much that I think needs dealing with, even if there's a lot I don't agree with.

I've invited folks who have impressed me with their views.

I hope you might consider sharing some of your projects.

Yes, spring is here and the outdoors call. Yesterday I cleaned out the garage and prepped some garden stuff.

Plus, I need to finish "quitting" SaidIt to focus on my own projects.
