Go to the link then click on "Charter of Rights and Freedoms", in the top left!

Learn about the Charter and the human rights and freedoms it guarantees for all Canadians.

Click

"Sorry, page not found"

(IN MY OPINION):

They're not sorry, they've wanted this forever.

And just as Ontario signs police state laws, what a coincidence.

Edit: I bet they say "ohh it was an error!" meanwhile: the rest of the site still works fine... I'm sure they will get around to it next budget! lol

Edit 2: Deleted cross-posts to avoid clogging front page.

Thanks for this. We don't get enough Canuck news.

Here's a link to a copy of the Charter. Still available(for now) on justice.gc.ca. Download a copy for posterity's sake.

Going fast...

Yet another reason for Canadian provinces to secede and join the US.

More than a little bit. I want us to annex Guyana and the Falklands too.

    Save East Timor!

    Free Ross!

    End Empire!

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah, we have no business with East Timor, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, or Puerto Rico. Those are colonies, no question about it, and they should all be freed.

Dixie is also a colony. I think the US should remain united if possible, but the Yanks'a got'o treat my People better if they want the country to stay united.

By the way, I'm thinking less of a vast, centralized empire and more of a loose confederation of English-speaking countries.

/s/DecentralizeAllThings - including banks, media, militaries, police, nations, food supplies, goods, services, etc.

    [–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (10 children)

No fucking way. Half of the US is MUCH worse and the other half is just worse. Generally. Some things are better.

    [–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

I say the Second Amendment alone makes the US better than Canada. But we do need to work a lot harder to entice Canadians to join.

    [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

There are (or were) more guns per capita in Canada, despite our gun nonsense.

You can entice us by being better, not just saying you're better. And if that day every comes, better left unsaid.

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

There are (or were) more guns per capita in Canada, despite our gun nonsense.

I don't think that's the case no more, especially after all the anti-gun laws yall've passed. The US is number one per capita, I believe.

You can entice us by being better, not just saying you're better.

Yes... I know quite well that my country sucks — but we can make it great if we muster up the political willpower.

    [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

if we muster up the political willpower.

Nonsense. Politics/power is the greatest problem on Earth and always will be. We need counter-government resistance.

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I'd rather just vote out the cronies, if possible.

    [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That would be good. The next/parallel step should be growing a minarchist movement. ALL efforts for smaller government are efforts for improvement. Anarchism is the goal, even if it's never reached.

    [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Dude. If a third country sprouted up around the Great Lakes with true defenders of liberty from both countries, shit would get interesting. We should team up against our governments. They sure as hell work together, why can't we?

Many good users here are from the States.

    [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I'd be down with that. Control the Great Lakes and the largest fresh water on the planet (not counting ice).

The busiest border in the world? Windsor/Detroit. More goods across here than any other border.

Problem: Detroit, Chicago, etc - all corrupt. Canadian government and industry: corrupt but politer.

/u/Earendil and /u/Vigte are you Canadian? Want to co-mod /s/Canada?

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I am not Canadian. I barely consider myself an American.

I'd take you up on all of your mod offerings if I had time, Jason. I should send you a PM with a respectful refusal. I like this website a lot, but I like my personal projects a lot more. I'm in the midst of building my own RV, and I'm trying to understand computers a bit better.

Maybe in a few months, or on another forum. I won't disappear completely. I have been coming around a lot less though.

    [–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

You need not accept nor refuse, nor even be respectful though I do appreciate it. Just sit on them. Join any time.

Personally, I don't like to moderate people. I don't see much that I think needs dealing with, even if there's a lot I don't agree with.

I've invited folks who have impressed me with their views.

I hope you might consider sharing some of your projects.

Yes, spring is here and the outdoors call. Yesterday I cleaned out the garage and prepped some garden stuff.

Plus, I need to finish "quitting" SaidIt to focus on my own projects.

    [–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

WOW. The government has lost all legitimacy. The entire political apparatus and process.

Looks like they replaced the original with a wokified version:
