All tariffs created were equalizers. Two countries taxed the US less than they did, and the US LOWERED tariffs of exportation to them. Lemmings have no idea whats going on and believe ORANGE MAN BAD regardless. Americans will benefit from this long-term with domestic industry rising.

All lies, obvious lies. For example, the typical import duty in Canada for all imports from other countries that cost more than, say $800, have been normally 6.1%. Many other countries do this. The US has also had import duties (called customs charges), for items costing more than $800, which has been about 5.63%. Trump arranged a 25% import charge for many items from Canada. Canada retaliated with similar tariffs. US companies and farmers that relied on exports are suffering. This does not help the US in any way whatsoever. Tariffs should be gradual increases, if that.

All tariffs were reciprocal. All it took for Canada to not be hit with tariffs is to reduce their own. Heck, if Canada erased tariffs for the US I bet Trump would zero as well. Could also pave their way towards state status, itd be good for them.

If tariffs are so great, why arent countries with huge tariffs such as Brazil not developing?

A) tariffs are a tax on other countries, not on u.s. citizens.
