Totally unlike the Russian army where soldiers are treated with great respect :)

Are you in the Russian army? Could you cite a source for your assertion? From what I have seen, the Russian army is very professional, but I could be wrong?

So you really are completely clueless. No surprise there.

So... No source, but completely reliable info. Got it, rabbi.

Ah, one of that scum ... again no surprise.

Oh look, whataboutism.

You that thing that never was a thing to begin with but just a cheap excuse for hypocrisy and double standards?

Let's address the topic of the post: the Ukrainian army's piss poor treatment of their own soldiers, causing them to refuse to fight.

Are they underfunded or something? We just sent them $40 billion. We could have had student loan forgiveness for that. But no, the money is just being stolen and funneled back to our own elites.

Putin thanks you and Jimmy Dore for your support. He'd like to remind you both that they are not Ukrainians, but Russians who are in so-called Ukraine, and he will happily genocide the lot of them (unless of course decent people stand up to him, you and Dore).

The US propaganda war machine thanks you for linking skepticism of its propaganda to TEH EVULL FOREIGNERS. We all promise to believe harder and watch more CNN uncritically in the future.

he will happily genocide the lot of them

Really? You can read minds? That's amazing! Say, can you do it again? Can you tell me what I had for breakfast?

New York Times? Atlantic Council? Could you pick a more biased set of sources that of course are going to back their own side?

Why are you backing them? Money changed hands? Why would anyone enforce the narratives of the powerful for free?

It was a banana nut muffin. Apparently you can't read minds, so stop telling us what people think.

Really? I gave you the evidence, from reasonable sources. You, in turn, have no argument or evidence.

[–]Chipit[S] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (12 children)

They aren't reasonable sources. They are pro-empire sources. Didn't anyone teach you to think critically? Of course you know how, but as you're being paid to say otherwise, I guess you have to put your brain on hold for this kind of job.

Chipit - look at Putin's lifetime of approaches, to restore some of the USSR, by takeover, or by installing cronies in former USSR countries. That's imperial, as is the genocide of Ukrainians. Move to Russia if you like it so much. In the US, there is a free press that can report on other empires. For you to refer to US news as emperial is really silly, even considering the horrible biases of some of the US news media, and especially FOX. Also ironic of you to refer to people who give you good information as dumb people.

In the US, there is a free press that can report on other empires.

Bahahahahaha...yeah sure. Free press. The one that won't investigate Biden and attacked the woman who credibly accused him of rape. That free press. The one owned by billionaires.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

Anyone can investigate Biden, as we've seen also with the numerous claims about his son's laptop, though anyone could have put emails on it. Corporate manipulation is a different topic. The present topic is your support for Putin, not the news media. What do you love about Putin's fascist approaches? Do you like news media in Russia?

Do you really think these dumb Reddit takes are fooling anyone?

People Who Defend Empire Narratives Are Really Just Defending Their Worldview From Destruction

So stop supporting Putin's genocide of Ukrainians. Hopefully you do realize that your support for those lies and the associated genocide is in support of reclaiming parts of the USSR, and certainly part of Putin's empire narrative (that Ukrainians don't exist, that they are Russian and USSR. Why would you think otherwise?

There is a controversy among military historians about what percentage of soldiers in battle deliberately fire their weapons to miss enemy soldiers. Some historians have made claims as high as 30%.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

I've heard that too, but does it apply to modern wars or just when each man was expected to fire so many rounds at the front lines before rotating back?

[–]chottohen 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I question the whole theory and think it was concocted by some academic who needed a publication. Also, I'll bet he had never been in combat. It's one thing to say, "Thou shalt not kill" in church but quite another when the enemy is overrunning your basecamp.
