I looked it up again, and I think the earthquake in March 2011 that caused the devastating tsunami in Fukushima, Japan was a 9.0 magnitude.

Yup, it was stronger. Still, 7.5 on the Richter scale is pretty intense and I'd probably be crapping my pants if I had to experience that.

You are right that it was intense....it was a significant earthquake, which I have never experienced in my life. All of Japan has to be talking about these quakes, wondering when another big one will hit and where, and how to prepare.

I saw a video yesterday of a Japanese family showing they have kitchen cabinets that lock automatically during a quake to prevent everything from falling out. This is not something I have ever had to the think about. (I live in Arkansas, USA.) I'm praying for the Japanese people. I think it was good for you to post this news, too.
