I gather the plan is for Israel to go full commando and seize the Rafah crossing from Egypt, then open it wide while simultaneously bombing the Gaza side of Rafah to 'persuade' Palestinians to leave 'voluntarily'. This would force Egypt to accept the fait accompli of Gaza's evacuation into the Egyptian Sinai, or else use their military to open fire on fleeing Palestinian refugees. And of course that border would then slam shut, never to reopen. Hence the earlier Israeli attempt on the crossing that was repelled by Egyptian forces with some loss of life. The Israelis of course lied and said they repelled an attack by Egyptian 'terrorists'.

As a bonus, for USA/Israel, if they manage to depopulate Gaza in this way, they can probably just refuse to give Egypt any aid for their upkeep, much less treatment for famine and trauma.

Couple of alternates for this tweet here and here.
