A classic. I had the fortune of knowing of the song before that episode aired and being able to fully enjoy that scene, when so many Simpsons references whooshed me until years after the fact.

And, even though I submitted that for a theme like this, there's something strangely innocent about it all things considered. Maybe because it isn't as gauche as music would become later?

Making something naughty without crossing into obscenity is an art.

I love Simpsons' references. They're always inherently funny, but if you catch the reference they're hilarious. Naughty ones fly over the heads of the Young and Innocent. Remember when local TV anchor Kent Brockman said "you might say we're having golden showers" followed by "what?" when the off-camera crew crack up. My younger daughter had to see that episode four times before she was old enough to get the joke.
