A worker (can't tell if it's actually man or woman), is seen removing some kind of long piece of metal (or wood) from a machine that seemed to crush things. The worker inexplicably gets on the machine while it's still active and ends up getting crushed by the machine. Fellow workers immediately come to the rescue, but it's too late. The guy who released the machine sees the aftermath of the accident and slaps both his knees before crouching. Another guy grabs the piece of metal or wood from earlier and slams it on the table to express his shock.

Another sad death that could have been easily prevented by not getting into an active machine that could crush you easily.

One word: China.

Truthful answer: the worker was probably trying to clear a jam or remove something stuck inside the machine. The machine lacked safety interlocks to shut off, and the (Chinese) worker probably lacked the authority to shut it off manually, or would have gotten in trouble for slowing down production. Also in effect is the lackadaisical way they handle safety in Chinese factories. Safety is top-down from the management, and ends up in the hands of the individual workers. If they haven't been properly trained, they aren't going to have a safe workplace.

I also believe, even properly trained, they won't have a safe workplace because there is no OSHA or anthying of the type in China. No safetly laws or rules of any kind.

Shit, man, that's so tragic. The person who tried to help just having a mental breakdown afterwards.

Man, even if I was dumb enough to get inside that thing (which I'm not), the second I felt it moving I would have lept out of there faster than jackrabbit!
