They are correct that it would be different if the teacher was male. For some reason society just doesn't really care if a female teacher diddles her students. Honestly i think the only reason this story became a thing is that they lied on the forms and got the minor to move in with the teacher. If it was a male student they would have just been like "lol he got the cougar".
