How are American troon-loving school teachers so indifferent to kids they claim to protect?

In the past it wasn't really the educators who were the problem, it was the "administration" officials. Years ago they revealed themselves with the "zero tolerance" policies. Essentially they took all decision making out of their own hands and said something like "fighting will result in suspension" so if a bully was beating up another kid they would suspend both because they were "fighting". A children's chewable aspirin in a kid's lunch box because he had a minor cold would be treated as "drugs".
.
The reason they enacted those policies had absolutely nothing to do with being tough or strict. It was entirely designed to absolve themselves of any culpability of making a "wrong" decision. Basically a parent can't ever accuse the admin of making a wrong decision because they follow the policy ie they did not make a decision. In this case you see they are scheming how to set up a documentation failsafe so they can't be held accountable.

That's... something I didn't think about. I knew about a case where 2 sisters had to be hospitalized with severe sunburns after their school had some outdoor events and prohibited the girls from applying sunscreen (because "drugs") and wearing hats (because reasons) even though the teachers saw they weren't ok and commented on it. But I assumed it was a particularly inept school, not the general state of affairs.

Don't forget that if they HAVE to make a decision and one is wrong or right, then it goes to the same logic:
1) Which of the two sides is more likely to sue the school district?
If a tie:
2) If we go against them, which kid is more likely to shoot up the school in revenge?
3) I'm getting fired either way. Which side makes me look like the victim if I do get fired so I can become a victimhood grifter?
