I am confused about the supposed gun threats. The police claim to have no knowledge of it but also supposedly widely known and the school seems to be downplaying it. I can't imagine the school is that gaslight that they are afraid to report threats of a school shooting to the cops. An alternative theory is all sides play dumb even though everything was reported. That seems to be a very common outcome when you look into the various school shooting incidents. It will turn out everyone was reporting it but nothing was done.

More than likely on the other hand, it was basically part of "there's only two things the school cares about when a situation like these occurs: who's more likely to sue them if they don't get their way (and risks their job), and who's more likely to shoot up the school if they don't get their way (and risks their life.)- and the second supercedes the first.

If the women in the school say "you let that boy in the women's room, we'll all sue the school district!", the only way for the snart to counter is "well, if you DON'T let me in the women's room, I'll shoot up the school!" in order to get their way. Best of all, when the women sue, you can say "we had to to prevent a school shooting, so it was for the safety of everyone, not just you."

The only way to stop it, as such, is the women countering with "if you let that kid in the women's room, we're all bringing guns to school and executing every man in the school."
