When will black women try reverse yellow fever the way every black guy does? It's the best of both worlds; they get to feel superior to a white-passing person but also say they're dating a person of color so they're not trading up or selling out.

Fair question. Here’s my armchair sociologist take that nobody asked for:

I doubt it will happen in meaningful numbers. The amount of Asian Male/Black Female pairings, at least marriages, are so small that they could be labeled statistically insignificant.

I live in a pretty “diverse” area and see all kinds of interracial couples. I don’t think in my life I’ve ever seen a black woman with an Asian man. And yes, I’m just one set of eyes.

Black women who are able to date successfully outside of their race tend to be more attractive, intelligent, and feminine etc than the typical black woman. These women will almost always go gunning for a white guy and can usually land one.

Asian men who are able to successfully date outside their race tend to be more attractive, more “alpha” than the typical Asian guy. Which means they will go gunning for white women and can usually land them.

Sure, both are a level up from the typical of their race, but they aren’t going to settle for each other. Why take a room on higher floor when you can get the penthouse?

And I agree in general that black and Asian is a rare pairing.

I don’t subscribe to butthurt anti-white politics, or even think this woman should have access to the whitey-invented printing press, but she does make an interesting point: romantic love as the ideal or default basis for marriage is something that many people inappropriately take for granted. Both Shakespeare and Walt Disney had a big hand in spreading that misconception, and I think we know that neither of those is a benign actor
