If only there was some biological mechanism responsible for this process that included visible external physical alterations, allowing for a rapid visual identification of these bodies!

Come on now. There's no need for such a complicated thing, silly. We just ask them if they feel like they're menstruators and go with whatever they answer! It takes all the guesswork out!
