Well do they have any proof of him doing anything beyond the typical DIE nonsense? Because if not nothing is likely to come from this. I'd like to see more pushback but you've got to be careful about how you do it.

If you've got the guy saying "we want to hire 50% women" that alone isn't really actionable. If he does something stupid like tells a candidate, "we aren't going to hire you because of your sex" that candidate should sue.

Also just have all candidates list their gender as female at that point. If you know that makes it easier to get a hiring job why not. I identify as a male to female to male double-transboomerangsexual who uses he/him pronouns but prefer to be female during the hiring process. Diversity hire please. All nonsense.

Same with the guy being a drag queen. Do I think it's inappropriate for a corporate event? Hell yes, but do I give a fuck if he's doing that in private? Nope.

If he's doing it at work just sue for sexual harassment. Somedude at work really wants to wear a dress for some reason I can tolerate that, but if they start, "performing" at work, and it makes anyone uncomfortable, guess what, that's sexual harassment, file the complaints, get the payouts, don't just be a wet noodle.

United set up Aviate Academy to train pilots, and there’s suggestions that they’re not admitting the best and brightest but instead recruiting from the lowest performing Black colleges and from amongst cabin crew to get their poc and women stats up. They’re DEIing pilots, which I don’t think is such a great idea.

Of course, but being fair, with how low commercial airlines pay their pilots, you're going to get substandard pilots anyway because any pilot who is actually skilled will have options besides going to work for minimum wage or less for a commercial airline. If it makes them get a warm fuzzy feeling the incompetent person they get looks a certain way or likes to have sex with a certain thing, you're not exactly passing up a great pilot for it.

Agreed. I've known a couple of new pilots and their working hours didn't really leave me with much confidence they were getting sufficient sleep.

I don't really care if some gay drag queen wants to fly the plane either assuming they are a competent pilot. Though I'd be very concerned if they were more interested in putting on a fabulous show in the air than landing the plane.

That's why I bristle at all this performative LGBTQIA+α shit at work. It's not like I really have a problem with people doing this shit in their free time. I frankly don't care and will go out of my way to shut down people trying to pry into other people's private affairs, but like, if you aren't dressing professionally and aren't totally focused on your job while at work, it definitely calls into question your competence. But if you wanna go to the drag bar on Friday night for whatever reason I'm not going to raise the issue and I'll shut down anyone who tries to make that an issue.

If you try to make Fridays dress in drag at work day you're gonna have a sexual harassment complaints from me.

Trans-paraplegics would totally ask for planes with less leg room to embrace their lack of legs. Would be just as dumb as MtFs demanding tampons.
