That's how feminists interpret everything. "Agency and power" are like every baby feminist's first words. I read that and my eyes just glaze over.

Nah people don't transition over some perceived gender struggle over agency or power. There are many reasons why they do it. A straight man might troon out because he has an AGP + exhibitionism fetish. A gay man may troon out because he's confused drag queen for a gender identity. Many young straight girls troon out because they are impressionable and most susceptible to this gender hysteria, which makes them the perfect target for groomers. Gay women probably troon out because presenting as an ugly butch female isn't doing them any favors.

Not to mention all of it has been greatly bolstered in recent years by the social justice movement having flipped the hierarchy upside down so the most "victimized" people are now at the top of the entitlement pyramid and are seen as the high priests of the church of progressivism. That's an enormous incentive to draw people into the church, and declaring yourself to be another gender is the most effortless way to ascend the ranks quickly. In other words, trooning out is a quick way for lonely losers to climb the social ladder.

The moment you decided to ignore the issue is the moment nothing else you wrote mattered. You must be one of those guys who comment hilarious crap like "girls have it so much easier", "if I were a girl I'd do porn and get paid to fuck", "feminism is not necessary anymore". People like you are close to the "being gay is only either choice or the result of sexual harassment" people.

"girls have it so much easier"

In the West? In many many ways, yes, they have it easy. But men do in other ways as well. It's not a competition.

In the third world? Women are kinda fucked and it's generally terrible for them. But weird how I don't see many feminists concerned with those women.

"if I were a girl I'd do porn and get paid to fuck"

Not a big fan of dicks, so... hard pass. Also not a big fan of porn. Well, not the weird shit that qualifies for porn these days.

"feminism is not necessary anymore"

In Westernized countries, not so much. I think first and second waves accomplished what they wanted. With few exceptions, women can do whatever the fuck they want now and are protected by law. But the third wave... the third wave is based on really shaky speculative notions, heavily influenced by Marxism, and is why we're in the mess we're in right now. Of course now in a twist of irony we see the radfems going hard against trannies, which I think is a net positive, but when the smoke clears they will still be radfems and will still be a problem.

"being gay is only either choice or the result of sexual harassment"

I think people are born gay and people who say they've been converted are full of shit.

What say you now?

That's what you think because you aren't a woman.

We still live in a world where, even ir supposedly civilized countries, 90-95% of positions of power are held by men. We still live in a world where women can lose their rights in an instant, as the troonery trend can immediately show you: all they need to do is to allow men in women's private spaces like sports and bathrooms, and women are done being equal. While women intruding in men's bathrooms or sports or whatever is of no consequence. We still live in a world where women are hated just for being women. We still live in a world where women haven't escaped the shackles of their biology.

And I am sure this is going to instinctively make you angry. You hate hearing that women are weak. You think they have more than enough, thEY have it easy now, and they should be taught their place. That's because you're part of the problem.

This disparity is not clear evidence for your argument though. Men and women generally have much different temperaments and hence life and career goals stemming from said temperaments. You can't just point to a statistic and go "see? evidence of institutional sexism!", you have to actually investigate, drill down, and factor in all the variables at play. And there are many to consider in this case.

The absolute bullshit of this comment. So, what's a woman's temperament like? She can be a nurse? Of course, not a CEO, a surgeon or a lawyer?

Do you not see how this opinion is one step removed from troonery? There is no temperamental difference between men and women, then why does it matter if one transitions? Women are equal to men in every way, after all. It’s also interesting to me that trans people tend to say the opposite after transitioning. I’ve seen a lot of men saying being a woman is great and a lot of women saying being a man is tough as shit.

Men say being a woman is easy because they're not women. So they get access to the "privileges" without any of the bullshit. Kinda like a multimillionarie who gets access to free food for the homeless, and as he's gobbling down the free meal, he says that being poor is actually nice and easy.

Women say being a man is hard because they're not men. They try to look menacing and fail; they try to have boys consider them boys and fail; they try to get the advantages of being men but fail. So it's definitely very hard for them to (try to) be a man.

What dipshits like you always fail to understand is that when people say that men and women are equal, it means they're equally intelligent and equally worthy of their place in society. Especially now, in modern society, where the one thing men are actually better at - strength and violence - is no longer much needed.

Women can be, and are, all those things, but among your list they would be more likely to choose nursing. Women will generally tend to flock to more social and/or caretaking roles like nursing, teaching, nutrition, therapy, childcare, etc. because women are on average much more engaging, sensitive, nurturing, compassionate, agreeable, courteous. That doesn't mean all women are like this nor does it mean all women will choose those career paths. But it does mean that a majority will.

You don't need a scientific study to understand this about men and women, you just need basic experience around different people to notice the obvious personality differences. But in case you do need a scientific study, here's a few to check out:

It's because women get pregnant (and in general they also care about their kids). All of a sudden you have to stop work for a year, and afterwards you need to dedicate time to your children. THIS is the main reason why women don't get into important roles. They can't dedicate their whole life to work.

The second reason is sexism. "Diversity hires" is bullshit now, but it was originally implemented precisely because most employers prefer to hire a man than a woman.

Just a couple years ago, a prestigious university of medicine in Japan was discovered to alter the results of the entrance tests so that women would fail and men would pass. Imagine how long this went on? Women passing the entrance test but being denied access and being told they failed; men not passing the test but getting access. And of course I bet people were saying "women just aren't interested in medicine".

We still live in a world where, even in supposedly civilized countries, 90-95% of positions of power are held by men.

Are they really though? "Positions of power" is a bit of a slippery concept, but just for the sake of an easy figure, I took a look at congress. That's 28% women. Admittedly well short of the theoretical ideal of 50%, but also a lot higher than the 5%-10% you suggested. This is also the highest percent of women it's even been, indicating the trend will likely continue.

[–]QueenBread[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The trend ain't gonna continue anytime soon as we have just seen how easy it is to undo all progress that has been made towards gender equality.

The real irony is the entire "no bio differences between the sexes" came from them in the first place...
