Trailer reveals too much. I feel like I just watched the whole movie.

No fucking way I can stand an entire film's worth of this. I think satire's already kinda DOA if the people making it clearly have a chip on their shoulder but at best this is like a 3 minute skit if it's in the hands of actual good writers.

You're telling me this has an arc? Is there a love interest? Training montage? Post-credits scene? They're gonna be doing the same damn joke for 90 minutes. Pass.

Reminds me of this. Used to pop up when we were discussing the worst tv show ideas back in college. It's real and not a skit. Obviously got cancelled quick.

Like the joke definitely has potential. But I can't see it supporting a two hour movie. Problem with conservative comedy in general is that usually they have some good material but in general conservative fashion like doing the same thing over and over again if it works, which unfortunately makes for bad comedy movies.

I just don't think you can be that funny from a place of spite.

Like, the humor of men in women's sports is in real life. It's apparent upon watching them. A film made about that seems excessive, so I know there's a lot of bile behind it. Not funny.

White Chicks/Juwanna Mann is the same joke, but without the politically-charged anger, which is why those movies are funny as fuck.

Spiteful humor can be funny but it takes a really careful approach. I agree though that often then falls into the problem of laughing at people rather than laughing at the joke though.

General problem in comedy these days I think is there's too many stupid people who don't get the jokes. Then it's just a crapshoot if they are a humorless cunt that doesn't get that it's a joke takes it seriously and goes on a moral tirade against you, or if they are an idiot that doesn't realize it's satire and think this is an actual documentary of sports in the 21st century.

Regardless I think the concept is probably doable for a b plot or an extended skit. But a full movie? Nah gonna get run into the ground. Ill watch the best of reals for the good jokes but won't watch the whole thing.

Ryan Long would probably be able to do a pretty good sketch on it (and is one of the few comedians who'd touch the subject)

Also is this not just Juwanna Mann?

One of the comments said that. I'd def rather watch a Wayans film than this.

This movie is just pandering, only in the opposite direction than usual.

Hah, Ted Cruz asking if seats are taken at a Basketball game... so smart & relatable.
