Community Notes on Twitter has got a lot of people absolutely seething because it hits equally at all sides trying to spread misinformation. Single greatest thing Elon did, and as a Musk-hater it pains me to admit, after reinstating the banned accounts and making the rules regarding usage more open and accountable and outing the collusion with the US govt.

The trouble with Wikipedia has always been that there are a clique of editors who zealously gatekeep articles. It was blown open when some articles involving investments and finance were investigated and found to be being girded by an editor who was using them to enrich himself. When I worked in clinical research I discovered a medical equipment manufacturer was editing the pages for the particular cancer, their device and their competition so as to direct patients towards their products.

I’m not sure what the solution is though.

I'm fairly confident that some 3 letter agencies have a full time staff gatekeeping wiki articles as well especially on anything related to foreign wars. Articles both on foreign events and on American journalists who do counter narrative reporting.

You have to appreciate the irony that Cultural Marxists made this change.

"Cultural Marxism has been debunked as a far-right conspiracy theory."

"By who?"

"Cultural Marxists."

And shit like this, this blatant MiniTru-style disinformation, is why I just laugh when Wikipedia tries to hit me for a donation.

I wasn't expecting to see "antisemitism" as the first definition.

I noticed that article the other day. Completely bereft of historical accuracy.
