Weirdly enough though, it does. Done correctly, it turns into a form of intentionally overblown performance art. Basically an actor playing a role to exaggerated effect. So there absolutely can be good actors and bad ones.

Like any form of acting it all depends. Insane parody of women / gay men ala rocky horror picture show? Pretty damn good. Some random asshole that thinks people want to watch them twerk? I'd rather watch paint dry.

I heard that there's huge gatekeeping in drag community. They don't allow just anyone to be a Drag Queen, you need to be highly skilled and passionate about it to be accepted as one by the community.
