Eh, there's a bunch of stuff on Reddit that either isn't really available elsewhere (such as here, for example) or is available elsewhere, but the Reddit version offers quicker turnaround between making a post and getting a response that you can use (trying to figure, for example, why a game is throwing up a glitch).

Yes there's a phenomenon happening where Google results are getting worse over time because companies are getting better and better at gaming the system. Often when searching for specialized knowledge now on Google the first page is AI generated clickbait articles like "top 10 products for X Y Z in 2023". The goal isn't to share information but to manipulate search results to push their clickbait to the front where if you visit that website it's then filled with advertising and a generic list of products to buy related to your original question.

Reddit has actually become one of the remaining places where people go and share real information. Anything related to politics becomes extremely slanted but if it's like "I'm getting this driver error for my Logitech keyboard model 123456789" there's actually people figuring out how to fix it.
