The clapping was insufferable. This idiot spouts off whatever nonsense he wants and they clap because he supports the popular position.

It's ironic. I never watched the show Crossfire, but as I understand it, it was a debate show. Jon Stewart came on there saying they were killing America. Maybe the show had its flaws, but the fact that it would put two people with opposing viewpoints to debate a topic is something that this country sorely needs right now. Jon Stewart killed that show, and now all we have are echo chambers. There was no chance The Daily Show was going to bring on someone with counter-points to this "woman" and debate her, and Trever Noah - even if he truly believes this trans stuff is nonsense - is never going to take a strong stance against "her" positions because that would get him cancelled. So their position never gets challenged, and most of the audience walks away having only heard one side of the argument, and they're dumber for it.
