The clapping was insufferable. This idiot spouts off whatever nonsense he wants and they clap because he supports the popular position.

It's ironic. I never watched the show Crossfire, but as I understand it, it was a debate show. Jon Stewart came on there saying they were killing America. Maybe the show had its flaws, but the fact that it would put two people with opposing viewpoints to debate a topic is something that this country sorely needs right now. Jon Stewart killed that show, and now all we have are echo chambers. There was no chance The Daily Show was going to bring on someone with counter-points to this "woman" and debate her, and Trever Noah - even if he truly believes this trans stuff is nonsense - is never going to take a strong stance against "her" positions because that would get him cancelled. So their position never gets challenged, and most of the audience walks away having only heard one side of the argument, and they're dumber for it.

Notice that the Troon changed the definition of “biological” (“I’m not a cyborg, I’m made of biological stuff”) in the context of “biological female” before declaring that they were a biological female as if any other possibility was so ludicrous that only a moron would think that.

Trevor Noah is a weasel. He had the gall to go full BLM after making jokes on stage about striking miners being gunned down by post-apartheid South African cops.

How he got to take over from Jon Stewart I will never understand, the only person more sanctimonious and ill informed is Jon Oliver.

I also don’t think that Noah is struggling, I’m fairly sure he’s pro-Troon all the way, he was just being a good interviewer and teeing up the Troon. He doesn’t really challenge any of the Troonish points.

I'll admit to not being up on every single thing he's ever said, but I don't particularly recall that Trevor has expressed any interest in actually living in South Africa. You'd think, seeing as how AmeriKKKa is this hot-bed of racism and oppression that he's forced to endure, that he'd be interested in living in a country where people with his skin color are not only the majority, but also run the place.

Well, The Daily Show has always been the worst thing for political humor in history. Before TDS, political humor was about "that's funny, and it's true" to mock problems with the political issues, but TDS turned the demand for laughs to the demand for cheers, making political humor go from "that's funny AND it speaks truth to power!" to "YAAAY! You're saying things I BELIEVE!"

If anything led to the climate for things like this to occur, it was Jon Stewart, so Noah worked perfectly there.
