It there was unfettered capitalism then there would be a building boom to capitalise on the high prices and demand and then prices would go down. That's not happening because building is restricted by politicians who own property and don't want to see a price drop

It's not that they can't afford it, it's that they can't justify the cost.

If you actually sit down and work out what a house will cost you once you've paid for it and the interest and the repairs then renting is cheaper at the moment, no matter how much people moan about it.

Houses simply aren't worth what they cost in most places and are only worth buying for investment. A hell of a lot of landlords rent themselves.

The actual issue is that people with terrible dental hygiene tend to also not look after their health in any other way.

The left has never been anti war.

There have been a handful of people on the left who jumped on the chance to stand against obviously stupid wars and made their names on it but they are a tiny minority.

Usually it is the right who are isolationist

It is interesting though that you simply don't see the range of anti-worm drugs being openly sold and prompted in the anglosphere like you do in places like Mexico. Also a big difference between kids and adults. It's not as if we aren't getting our hands dirty, in the UK most people garden. I wonder if there's a dietary difference which protects us somewhat.
