I'm not really surprised by the ignorance of the would-be RedNote users. They have, almost to the last, been so fixated on imaginary fascism in America that they completely ignored the actual authoritarianism in China. Which is exactly how China wants it, and what China has taken steps to ensure.

Reminded me of the twilight of the old TiA sub, when the radfems started coming in from their own banned subs. Because while troons were their main focus, they just couldn't keep the misandry in check and had to take shots at men in general. They even tried a few times to make TiA into a radfem-dominated sub, but the rest of the membership cut that shit off real quick with reminders that radfems were just as much a part of the "we're highlighting your bullshit and mocking you for it because you deserve it" list that TiA was working from.

While TiA was certainly in the crosshairs of Reddit's thoughtpolice, I will always maintain that the radfems coming in hastened the end, because it just made the sub that much more of a worthwhile ban target.
