Interesting question. The social contagion aspect is much less conspicuous than with teen girls declaring themselves trans after exposure to social media, but that doesn't mean it isn't a factor. If nothing else, the idea that having a femininity fetish makes them "really a women inside" or whatever probably isn't a conclusion most would reach without the gender cult pushing it. They would most likely either repress it on indulge in private instead of turning their fetish into an identity.
