My money is more on hormone issues tbh.

Have known 2 asexuals, both of who are conventionally attractive. Just zero interest in sex/the idea of it grosses them out. Ofc maybe I've just met 2 of the sane ones. Neither of them claim to be oppressed beyond joking that things are unaffordable for one person living alone.

Honestly they're both fun people. Never seen them make anything of it more than be polite and say it's not for them. If someone told them they were oppressed I'm fairly sure they'd both laugh in that persons face for being so stupid.
