And it looks like they went on holiday immediately after the birth and left the baby with the surrogate (or at least with some woman). So they clearly don't actually care about raising a child

I do wonder about surrogacy and how well a pair (or trio) of guys can bond with a baby. They have none of the hormonal cues that the biological mother (and I suspect the cohabiting biological father) have and essentially have a newborn delivered to them with none of the physical or biochemical components of childbirth.
I feel bad for thinking it, but I can’t help but think Tom Daley has got kids as fashion accessories. I hope that that’s not true, because I think Daley is a fairly decent guy, I just really don’t like the whole surrogacy thing.
I feel similarly for people like Amber Heard and the other celebrity women who are too rich to conceive and carry.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the industry. Whilst I can accept there are legitimate cases, it seems it's more beneficial in general for those people to just accept they've been dealt a shit hand in life and maybe consider adoption, if that means the more exploitative cases of people who could give birth, but would prefer to outsource the pregnancy, don't happen.
