In the old days of paper medical and social service records, there were lots of spicy abbreviations. NFN, is one of them, it stood for “Normal for Norfolk” used for the mentally deficient people in the county, Norfolk, that had a reputation for inbreeding. So where as a certain level of retardation was worrying and cause for action elsewhere in the country, in Norfolk it was the norm.

I now propose NFT - Normal For Troons. And yes, I’m aware that NFT has another meaning, but that’s just a happy accident.
