Let's not forget the leading cause of death for trans people.

Themselves.

Self-genocide.

It’s clever. Shifting the goalposts in a way that still allows them to use dramatic words like “genocide”.

And of course they never stop to think WHY people really want to legislate against them. It’s not because they are trans. It’s because of they way trans people and their enablers act.

Modern take on the old line : “they tell you how they are persecuted but never tell you why”

It's not as clever as you think. Using words like genocide the way they are meant to be used is dangerous, it's scary, and most people with a soul agree it's wrong. People would think "I don't want to commit genocide and kill trans people, I'll listen to you!"

If you change the meaning of the dramatic word to something less dramatic, the closer and closer you get to the moment people realize "there's no threat of death except by the person threatening suicide to get their way"...and when that happens, more and more people will tune them out.

Data and facts are transphobic!

If the facts don’t fit, we’re going to twist them until they do, even if that means redefining words.

Genocide: the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group.

Trans people are not a nation or a race.

Political or cultural group? Maybe, but that destroys the "born this way" argument. How can you have politics or culture in the womb?

If they amend the definition to include "gender identity", that implies trans people don't have the same "gender identity" as non-trans people.

They can’t use that definition because it would make them the perpetrators of genocide against europeans. Genocide is when something bad happens to a minority.

social genocide

Like when you decide to physically harass a professor with views you don't like, attempt to suppress her ability to express her views, and force her to resign for her own safety. Like when you attempt to have people shunned and fired from their jobs if they won't claim to believe what you think they should be required to believe?

Ah yes, everyone remembers the literal genocide of the hippies.

Friendly reminder that you can't genocide barbaric medical practices or poor fashion choices, they just disappear.

Hey... where'd the goal posts go?
