If someone was going to fake it they'd put in how she needed advice on how to force him to see the light, not how to speak to him nicely.

It depends on their goal. If it was just a troll or parody yeah, but if they were actually trying to make people stop and think, presenting the counselor as sympathetic but misguided is a good choice.
