Yeah, I watched this gradually happen with my ex (we're still friends, were roommates til recently)
She was a super normal girl with quirks like everyone else, then we spent some time apart and she got pulled into the trans rabbit hole. Got her breasts removed (which I think was a horrible stupid idea but Im not gonna say that to her face, its her life) and went on testosterone for like a year which ruined what was once her nice singing voice.
Her new thing is multiple personality disorder - which she claims she has had all her life, but the way she has suddenly been acting completely different since getting the idea in her mind, tells me otherwise.
I moved out asap after she went down the DID rabbit hole. It was weird and annoying when she would suddenly act like a small child or communicate only in charades (yes in public too). This behaviour never happened before her friend told her she has DID
