But waiting lists for the complex op, called a phalloplasty, which is also offered to men who lose their genitalia in serious accidents, can be up to four years.

It's almost as if requesting a dangerous body-altering surgery should be reserved only to those who need it for medical reasons.

Not to mention wanting to queue skip sounds like a court case in the making...

Like you know someone is going to have one go very wrong, there's a reason somewhere else wouldn't have queues after all and then blame the NHS for subpar work.

They claim it is for medical reasons.

Personally I still maintain the very simple position that, gender disphoria is a psychological condition, that doesn't require medical intervention, but you'll get harassed by the crazies if you say it outright, since part of the condition apparently involves attacking anyone that breaks the illusion.
