No, no. It's "they don't want anything near their pussy unless it is involved with them having their yaoi fantasy." Keep up to date.

God, is yaoi a vector for this? My only ftm tranny friend loves yaoi and fantasy erotica. Which makes sense, yaoi is for women.

As much a vector as sissy porn/lesbian porn would be for an MtF, yes.

Almost certainly. But I think it's a more complicated phenomenon. Yaoi caters to female ideals of relationships and sex in much the same way that crappy romance novels do. Unrealistic female ideals of what relationships should be rather than what they are. It just has the added effect of being "gay".

Now when you take otherwise normal women who understand this and have normal social interactions they might "enjoy it" as a kind of forbidden desire type thing, but they'll understand that it's not normal or good to aspire towards. The problem is you get otherwise weird socially awkward girls that don't like their own perceived "feminimity" for whatever reason but also don't like traditional masculine stereotypes of what we'd say is now "toxic masculinity" but they are still attracted to masculinity in general as they are normal straight women. So I think it kind of creates this crisis of self in them where they feel they need to become gay men in order to have the kind of idealized Yaoi relationship they are obsessed with. Of course such a thing doesn't exist, and being female they can't have a "normal" homosexual relationship anyway, but they aren't really thinking that far ahead because by that point they aren't grounded in reality.

It goes along with fantasy obsession as well which is why you see a lot of overlap. Now it's all too easy for people not notice this relationship and go too far the other way like with the Satanic Panic DND stuff. But there's definitely something to be said of using fantasy as a kind of drug to escape from ones life, similar to how alcohol or any other kind of mind altering substance to excess causes one to become detached from their real life.

I think a lot of this really does come down to simply a fear of adulthood and responsibility. All of it is a very infantile look at the world and human relationships with this unhealthy focus on self validation which I would describe as selfishness or fun depending on context.

Won't go off the deep end and say using Yaoi makes someone gay, but if you've got someone that isn't well grounded and with their life together just about anything that excites the primal urges can become a kind of substitute for actual human relationships.

Fantasy ideals desired to be made real... Female expression of nerdiness vs male I guess.
