Well yeah it smells like a deranged legal ploy but we are dealing with a deranged murderer so it's not a stretch for me to believe he is crazy on top of being evil.

But like "he's just pretending to be non-binary" lol, so he's like everyone else who identifies as non-binary then? Seems legit. How do you know if Someone is pretending or not? Lol.

Attention or spite may not be the reason; it could just as easily be a deranged attempt to get out of punishment free because he truly believes that if he claims to be non-binary, then TTTTTTTTTTTTQlgb+ groups will demand he not receive punishment because "he's just a poor little enby baby who was brainwashed by the whiteskinnycishetneurotypicaldiagnosednonDreamstanpatriarchy into lashing out, so really it was SOCIETY who did it and xir's innocent!"
