I read a good point about these transmasc/transman girls. They do nothing practical to masculinise themselves. They usually have short hair but in a fairly feminine cut. They usually dye their hair, which is still largely something mainly done by women. They very often wear make up. They wear jeans, t-shirts and hoodies, like all women. At most they wear a breast-binder but that's just a fashion choice in their circles, albeit a genuinely unhealthy one.

If they truly want to be more masculine, how come they aren't doing consistent, weight-training designed for muscular hypertrophy. That kid has the small rounded shoulders of a skinny woman. She could spend 30 minutes a couple of day a week to widen her shoulders and add some bulk to her arms. I'm not saying that being a muscular woman makes a woman manly, a muscular women is literally still a woman with the muscles of a woman. But surely one of the very first things a young girl with actual gender dysphoria would do is buy a pull-up bar and some heavy dumbbells and start working on bulking up? They'd not just build some more 'manly' muscle but they'd also, with time and effort, get to enjoy the 'not like other girls' sensation of knocking out 100 push-ups, doing even a single pull up, or being able to dead hang for several minutes as a time. It would all, surely, aid their sensations of dysphoria. But yet they don't actually do anything that requires effort and hard work. Almost as if they don't have any actual dysphoria at all............

I read something a while back about the concept of passing and how increasingly it's become less about actual appearance and more about the performance. So in their minds a lot of TIMs and TIFs genuinely believe they pass (or at least have deluded themselves into believing it), because they're "performing" femininity and masculinity respectively. Lippy, long hair and a dress is all it takes to pass as a woman even if you're built like a linebacker and short hair and a flat chest is all it takes to pass as a man even if you're a waif.

And this is the end result of that belief. Eventually they come up across the cold hard wall of reality, when they try to hit on gay men and get "Eww" as a response instead of "OMG YAAAAAS YOU PASS SO WELL".

You see it on reddit all the time in the trans-passing forums. A man in a wig or a girl with short hair ask if they pass and all of the comments tell them they very much do. Then if you look on a site like Reveddit to see all the responses, you'll see lots of extremely polite comments saying, things like, 'No, sorry, you look great but I can tell you aren't cis, maybe if you tried x hairstyle or a different style of shirt. You still look great though, real goals.' And those were all deleted, so anything apart from full on, 'uwu, you look super cis, better than cis!' gets deleted and these people who are at least somewhat mentally ill in the first place, allow themselves that they are convinced until the walk out the door.

Or in the case of girls like these, they go on Grindr and disingenuous bi-men, and opportunistic straight men who have copped to what's happening with these girls, pretend to be gay men so they can stroke their egos by pretending they think they are men and let them live out their bottoming fantasies.

There's a gay guy on twitter whose pinned tweet is something along the lines of "I'd be angry too if people were constantly blowing smoke up my ass but leaving me in the friendzone". And that's why I don't believe it's kindness to pretend. Because eventually reality wins out. Whether it's the first time they try to pick up an actual lesbian who's secure in their sexuality, when they're shopping at GameStop, or even just from looking in the mirror and realising they've been lied to, eventually they're going to realise everyone around them has been lying to them. And that isn't kind.

These girls often have eating disorders and then latch on to kpop guys or skinny anime characters as a kind of man they can larp as and then get away with starving themselves as gender confirming. They don't want to be like an American man.
