Brain scans being similar only means that the people think about similar things. It doesn't mean that the gay man has a female brain. The sexual attraction to men is obvious but there are other issues which could be related to how they perceive themselves within society.

If you are referring to the BSTc study which TRAs try to use the answer is that their brains are not the same, it's just overlap of a normal distribution.
