Weren't there some trans people trying to get in touch to commit treason because the human rights issues for Russia/China, including to trans people, paled in comparison to the US not forcing lesbians to suck their ladydick and that's mean?

Not sure about that but…

The decision by Ms. Manning’s defense team to argue that untreated gender dysphoria was a factor in her decision to leak classified information unwittingly aids those who say that L.G.B.T. people cannot be trusted in sensitive government jobs.

So if we listen to and believe Manning, no transgender personnel should ever be given any kind of security clearance as they are inherently and incurably (tsk, tsk don’t you dare suggest conversion therapy) pre-disposed to treasonous activities.
