Why would it be strange for a woman to be hot AND smart?

Because most of the smart ones don't spend 25 hours per day getting dressed.

"Aaaww look at that woman, she managed to accomplish that, almost like a man!"

That's because women aren't usually coerced into provider roles and threatened if they fail. So if she does something it's likely entirely by her own will.
