I think they believe it - in some cases, it’s more of a coping mechanism but well... They’re fanatics. Even if they will have doubts, they will come up with “no, I must be a better ally, this is cis-patriarchy compulsive thinking”, they will always repeat the same stuff no matter what. They know any disagreement with the most inclusive stance mean someone is a Nazi bigot to them. I also think that u/ClassroomPast178 described it well.
