The cherry on top of this whole thing is her previously having told someone else not to idolise Basquiat, because he was a dope fiend and a homo (her words)

Oh, I do so hope someone recorded or screencapped that, there's nothing like the thrill of waving around someone's "oh, but you said this before" moment when they're being sanctimonious pricks.

The whole thing is fucking wild. The thread as a whole, her saying Basquiat is arguably the most popular artist in the world (which really just shows what kind of privileged bubble she lines in, because nowhere outside of upper class art snob circles is Basquiat the most popular artist), people actually trying to defend it.

And apparently she has ThreadReader blocked. I don't know why anyone would do that
