At least with Scientology and the Jaydubs the hatred is restricted to the congregation, with trans-apostasy the trans movement is, ironically, so powerful that even non-congregationists will join in with the shunning.

Islam has managed something similar, see all the non-Muslims lining up to excuse or rationalise or justify the attacks on Rushdie, Charlie Hebdo and how a teacher was thrown under the bus by his own fucking union (my union unfortunately).

It’s a triumph of doublethink when you claim to be oppressed yet have the media and government wrapped around your finger and people are too scared to make even milquetoast criticisms.
