Not a very feminist opinion but I do think pregnancy and birth hormones drive some women crazy and they never come back from that.

Could be grief driving her mad. Although for it to be reincarnation the husband (who I'm assuming is also the father) must have died during the pregnancy. In that case it could be both. Grieving during pregnancy has to be a wild rollercoaster ride

Yeah. The "multiple past lives" part kind of clarifies it (oddly enough). I think she means to claim they were incarnated as husband and wife several times in the past.

Yeah no I think that's 100% right. Hormones and what not drive some women insane, or maybe they were already insane and it just pushed them over the edge.

Others are fine, I think when they've got strong social bonds with family and friends it tends to keep people centered in reality. In these cases though, unfortunately you're going to just have to take the kids away before the parent tries to fuck them.
