Once upon a time peer pressure would force these socially awkward (I think 'autistic' is overused) boys out into the real world to learn social skills and do the things that would develop their self-esteem and confidence. There's a lot of missing info here. The kid was initially 'accepting' and then wasn't? What happened? She refers to her stepson as being mean and cruel to the transkid but doesn't say how. Also seems to gloss over the fact that the transkid has behavioral problems of his own.

The win-win seems to be to just let the kid live with his mom like he wants.

I remember when I thought Communism was just some fringe counterculture political ideal, like in Seinfeld where Elaine is dating a Communist and she thinks it's cool and subversive.

These kids have also been taught that capitalism is their enemy and that Communism will liberate then from all the hard work of having to pay bills and earn a living and stuff.

I think the connection is indirect, as in, porn makes men more abusive and depraved sexually, girls are taught not to 'kink-shame', and they process their dislike of pornbrained male behaviour as evidence that they're not really women.

Elliot Page seems like a classic example to me of a women who is identifying as a man because she's afraid of men and male attention. I read her autobiography, where she talks about getting shingles on the set of Inception because of the stress of working with 'cis men'. Seems less like someone who identifies with men and masculinity than someone running from something.

I don't care much about the Israel/Palestine thing because I'm not personally invested in it, but I love how it's turning the woke progressive movement on its head. My workplace's former DEI Chief is a Jew who is just falling apart on Twitter over the leopards now eating his face. It's great.

The progressive left believes everything that is a 'need' should be a 'right' and therefore 'free'. They have no understanding of the monetary and labour costs involved in actually providing things like housing and food. If they were just talking about wanting to build their own houses and grow their own food and not be taxed or controlled by others I might sympathize, but they would likely consider that a right wing position.
