HR departments are increasingly controlled by people who are basically Reddit mods that can function in the real world. You see the same sort of petty power-tripping and ego-boosting games being played out, but with the added bonus that their bans have an actual, lasting effect.

HR are bitches and not one single HR person is a good person. HR is basically a companies secrety, not so secret police.
