They hate reality, so they leap right into a worse nightmare. It's like a big con game where all the groomers and liars and bullshit artists are the "confidence man" in the game, and the corporations and billionaires that fund the clinics and universities where the "confidence men" all work are playing the other side of the game. That satan is real is pretty self evident, I think.
