The non-jury trial is scheduled to start on 2 October. James is seeking $250m in penalties and a ban on Trump doing business in New York, his home state. The hearing could last into December, Engoron has said.

Damn, they are trying to ruin Trump. Shows how terrified some people are of him becoming president again. They're trying to dismantle his NY businesses just because he optimistically estimated his worth to get better loan deals. It's rather nitpicky.

This weaponization of the courts is ridiculous.
